Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
- Matt. 28: 19
Discipleship isn't a one-time decision. It's a lifelong process. That's why we've developed our Discipleship Pathway.
The pathway is the way by which we becomes disciples of Jesus Christ. Underneath each pathway are a few examples of how our community envisions each step. Remember, these steps aren't a strict sequence, and certainly going from one step to the next doesn't mean that we've "graduated!" All of us need to Gather, Grow and Go repeatedly throughout our journey of discipleship, encountering Christ along the way.
If you'd like to talk with a member of staff about where you might be on your journey, let's get connected!
We gather to create engagement and belonging.

We are excited for each member of MSW to take some time to ask the Lord to show them where they are on this pathway. Seeing the next step you can take will help bring clarity to how your friendship with Jesus can grow.
The pathway, as with the spiritual life, is not an exact science, and each person’s journey is different. The Pathway invites you to mature as a missionary disciple through regular formation and spiritual growth with other committed disciples. This will look different for every person.
A disciple is someone who has encountered Jesus, heard the Good News of his life, death and resurrection, and chooses to actively follow him.
A missionary disciple is one who continues to grow in relationship with God, can easily share his or her relationship with God with others and goes outward to help others find God for themselves.
The Holy Spirit moves in our lives when and how He wills according to His specific plan for us. Someone may first become involved through serving or attending the Angel Event, but then respond to an invitation to attend Alpha by a fellow volunteer. Or someone may start in a small group in search of community. People may participate in the pathway the way they feel led. All of us need to Gather, Grow and Go repeatedly throughout our journey of discipleship.
