Mary, Seat of Wisdom is a dynamic parish and school community of more than 2,000 families from Park Ridge and the surrounding area.
Established in 1955 through the Archdiocese of Chicago, and inspired in worship and service by the Second Vatican Council, our parish supports each parishioner’s faith journey. From the Scripture on our windows to the many opportunities for worship, spiritual growth, justice, healing and reconciliation, our parish strives to be intentional in living the life of faith.
I welcome you to explore this website to discover our vibrant community. You will find information on parish life, celebrating the sacraments, and getting involved in one or more of our 70 ministries and activities. Opportunities range from supporting a sister parish in Zambia with its most basic needs, to joining one of our many active groups for men, women or teens.
We invite you to visit us for Mass, and register as a parishioner [link to parishioner registration form]. We’d love to see you!
Rev. Gerald Gunderson
Pastor Mary, Seat of Wisdom Parish
We, the faith community of Mary, Seat of Wisdom Parish, a prayerful community of persons, are called and committed to proclaim and live the Gospel within and beyond our parish. We are committed to handing on our traditions through education and formation. We choose to celebrate our relationship with Christ and the Church through prayerful and life-giving liturgy. We call one another to justice, compassion, healing, reconciliation, and to witness God's kingdom. As we praise and thank God through Jesus Christ and serve one another, we grow as individuals and develop as a community. May we always reach out, welcome, and be known as a place of intentional hospitality, support, and service.
