"Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.
- 1 Corinthians 10:16-17
Our Ministers of Care visit homebound and hospitalized parishioners to bring comfort, administer sacramental graces, and help them remain connected to our parish community. In bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, the Ministers of Care serve to unite us all in the Body of Christ and are a sign of support by the parish to our community.
Our Ministers of Care are honored and privileged to deliver the Eucharist to those who are unable to attend Mass. We humbly share in the Church’s ministry to the sick, as called for by Jesus and articulated in the Corporal Works of Mercy.
Ministers of Care do not replace the ministry of the priest to the people, but rather extend and expand it so that all will have more regular contact with Christ in Holy Communion.
